Privacy Policy

Who we are

QR Code Automator is operated by AboveTheFold.dev (“we”), based in Athens, Greece. This policy explains what the app accesses when a merchant installs it on a Shopify store, and how that information is used.

It covers the app only. Our website privacy policy is separate, and Shopify’s own privacy policy covers data Shopify processes as the platform.

Information the app accesses

When you install the app, Shopify grants it access to the following:

• Store owner details: name, email address, phone number, and physical address
• Product data from your store

Information you create in the app

We store the QR codes you create so you can manage and download them later:

• The name you give each code
• The destination URL, or the Shopify resource you point it at (a product, collection, cart, or checkout on paid plans)
• Your plan and billing status, as reported by Shopify

How we use this information

We use it to:

• Generate, store, and let you download QR codes
• Connect a code to the destination you chose
• Recognize your store inside the Shopify admin
• Answer support requests you send us
• Apply the plan you subscribe to through Shopify billing
• Keep the app secure and fix failures

What we do not do

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your store data to advertise to your customers, and we do not build profiles of people who scan a code.

Someone who scans a code is taken to the URL you configured, usually a page on your own store. The app does not ask that person to create an account with us, and we do not add our own tracking to the destination page.

Who we share information with

We share information only with Shopify, which authenticates the store and processes app charges, and with the infrastructure that hosts the app, solely to run it. We also share information if the law requires it.

We do not sell or rent store data.

How long we keep it

We keep app data while QR Code Automator is installed on your store. After you uninstall, we delete the stored codes and the store connection within 30 days, unless we have to keep a record for a legal obligation or to resolve a dispute.

You can email us and ask us to delete it sooner.

Security

Merchants use the app through Shopify’s authenticated admin. We limit access to production data to what is needed to operate the app. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.

Your choices

You can uninstall the app from the Shopify admin at any time. Uninstalling revokes the app’s access to your store.

Email hello@abovethefold.dev to ask what we store about your shop, to correct it, or to delete it. Include your shop domain so we can find the right record.

Where data is processed

We are based in Greece. The app’s hosting may process data in the European Union or in another region used by the host. Shopify processes platform and billing data under its own terms.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. The public URL stays the same so an app store listing can keep pointing here.
