Pulse – Haptic Metronome

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

This policy describes the Apple Watch app Pulse, listed on the App Store as “Pulse – Haptic Metronome.” It covers the app only. The AboveTheFold.dev website has its own policy at /privacy.

Who we are

Pulse is published by AboveTheFold.dev, Athens, Greece. For this policy, AboveTheFold.dev is the controller of the personal information described here. Contact us at hello@abovethefold.dev or through the contact form.

The short version

Pulse does not collect data. Everything the app stores stays on your Apple Watch. We have no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs.

What stays on your Apple Watch

Pulse stores these things in the app on your watch:

  • your rhythm settings, such as tempo, meter, and haptic choices
  • the presets you save
  • your practice history: when each session started, how long it ran, its tempo, and Internalize timing results
  • a copy of your current tempo, so the watch-face complication can show it

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. Pulse does not use iCloud sync, so the data stays on that watch.

What Pulse does not use

Pulse does not use the microphone, location, contacts, or health data. It plays haptics on your watch. To keep the beat going when you lower your wrist, it starts a watchOS background session while the metronome plays. That session does not read or write Health data.

Purchases

Pulse Pro is an optional one-time purchase through Apple. Apple charges your Apple Account and tells the app whether you own Pulse Pro. We never see your payment details, your name, or your email. No other company processes your purchase for us.

Crash reports from Apple

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. They help us fix bugs. Apple controls that sharing, and you can turn it off in the Watch app on your iPhone under Privacy. Apple’s privacy policy is at apple.com/legal/privacy.

Tracking and sales

We do not sell your information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

How long information is kept

Settings, presets, and history stay on your watch until you delete them or the app. Pulse keeps your most recent 200 practice sessions and drops older ones automatically.

How to delete

  • Swipe left on a session in History to delete it.
  • Swipe left on a preset to delete it.
  • Delete the app to remove all of Pulse’s data from your watch.

Apple may still keep its own record of a purchase. Apple’s refund and purchase tools remain Apple’s.

Children

Pulse is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you can ask to access, correct, delete, or restrict your personal information, object to certain uses, and ask for a copy in a portable format. You can also complain to your data protection authority. In Greece, that is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority. Because Pulse sends us nothing, we hold no personal information about you from the app.

Questions go to hello@abovethefold.dev. We reply within 30 days.

Changes

This page is the current policy. When it changes, the new text is posted here. If you keep using Pulse after that change, the updated policy applies.
